Rawlinna Station is a pastoral lease and sheep station located about 400Km east of Kalgoorlie. The station occupies an area of about 10,117 Sq Km in the Nullarbor Plain and is the largest sheep station in Australia.

The Nullarbor Plain is part of the area of flat, almost treeless, arid or semi-arid area of southern Australia. It is the world's largest single exposure of limestone bedrock, and it stretches about 1,100 Kms from east to west across the border between South Australia and Western Australia.

Cook is a railway station on the Trans-Australian Railway. It is about 826 Km west to Port Augusta by rail. Cook is the only scheduled stop on the Nullarbor Plain for the Indian Pacific train and has little use now other than curiosity value for passengers to explore while the train is replenished.
